The ICAO codes are used by Air Traffic Control and airline operations such as flight planning. The IATA codes are used for airline timetables, reservations, and baggage handling. ICAO codes are also used to identify weather stations, whether or not they are located at airports. The IATA airport code is a three-letter alphanumeric code designating each airport around the world. These codes are defined by the IATA organization of travel agents. DST is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
